While I understand, and admit, that my blog generates nowhere near enough traffic to merit a blackout response to the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) nor the Protect IP Act (PIPA), you’re still getting a blacked out header image. Mostly because I’m being lethargic.

I’m no expert on these things, and being politically apathetic by choice I’m also one to not really give a damned. I don’t raise my voice to vote for officials, so I feel it’s not right for me to raise my voice to complain about things they’re doing. That said, SOPA and PIPA could be abused down the road to someday, maybe, take down my domain without a single thing I could do about it legally. I like what I do in Iroke Productions, and what I try to do in KyoNet for the flailing pile of mess that XI has become.

Please, read up on what these two bills would do if passed, and make your own opinion with your own mind. Following information blindly is what leads to the government issues that are so ever-present in society today. “I voted for so-and-so because they’re the republican candidate for this office, and I’m republican” is ridiculous, especially when down the road they realize the candidate they supported is now completely for something they are strongly against personally, and complain about it. Do your own research (you can use something besides Wikipedia, I might add), form your own ideologies and opinions, and stand up for what YOU are invested in–what YOU believe in.
